PAGE MUSEUM

creative direction + branding + content strategy + web site

The Page Museum at The La Brea Tar Pits desperately needed a strategy for connecting their indoor and outdoor exhibitions highlighting their active dig site and fishbowl laboratory. Visitors didn’t know it was a Museum unto itself, thinking instead it was part of LACMA, which shared a campus.

Working closely with Scientists and Educators I developed a branding strategy that showed and spoke to guests' experience. An image library was created. I oversaw the design, development, and launch of a newly branded web site (Hello Design) on which we featured seldom seen microfossils and specimens from the Paleo Garden, an illustrated interactive map was created to share visitor itineraries, amongst other treasures. Banners and wayfinding pathways and entrance graphics were designed placed in the surrounding park.
